About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a dedicated and experienced Cleaner to join the team at their Carnival Mall store in the East Rand. The successful candidate will maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized environment in line with Dis-Chem’s cleanliness and safety standards.
Work areas include the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and staff canteen.
Minimum Requirements Cleaner – Dis-Chem Pharmacies
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months of cleaning experience
- Sound command of English (verbal and written)
- Basic customer service skills
- Willing and able to work retail hours
- Additional local language proficiency
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store before opening.
- Develop daily cleaning routines for all store areas.
- Ensure canteen and restrooms are always clean, stocked, and functional.
- Be available during operating hours to assist with any urgent cleanups.
- Use correct cleaning products and equipment for each task.
- Always display wet floor signs when cleaning.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers when needed.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations and company policies.
