Requirements:
- Display competency in post-specific core functions
- Fluency in at least two official languages, one must be English
- South African Citizen
- No previous criminal/departmental convictions or pending cases
- Must undergo security screening and fingerprint verification
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) on NQF Level 4
- Registration with PSIRA
- Possession of at least a Grade C security certificate or higher
- Not declared unfit to possess a firearm
- Willingness to undergo and maintain firearm competency
- No criminal record or pending cases
- Degree/Diploma in the field of security is an advantage
- Relevant courses and a valid driver’s license for at least a light motor vehicle are advantages
- Willing to work shifts and extended hours
Duties:
- Execute Access Control as per Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act (Act No. 53 of 1985)
- Identify employees, visitors, and contractors at security access points
- Register employees, visitors, and contractors; perform electronic searches
- Authorize entry after legislative compliance; confirm visits with hosts
- Issue and collect admission control cards
- Maintain the visitor’s register
- Check suppliers, articles, and objects for safety
- Patrol buildings and fenced-off areas
- Guard vehicles and equipment from a security point of view
- Check security equipment and facilities, take necessary action
- Report security issues to senior personnel

Note:
