Requirements:

• A qualification at NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate) as recognized by SAQA.

Duties:

• Perform routine activities related to road maintenance and/or construction, including:
  • Construction of culverts and side drains
  • Erecting and maintaining steel guardrails and gabions
  • Construction of road earth and layer works
  • Cleaning and maintaining roads, sidewalks, and resting areas
  • Surfacing and pothole patching
  • Road fencing and pipe laying
  • Setting of road markings and road studs
  • Installing road signs, distance markers, and barricades
  • Crushing road materials
  • Bush clearing and grass cutting
