Position Status: Fixed-Term Contract
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for the verification and issuing of bank cards to customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-test on allocated equipment for functionality and report issues to the Team Leader.
- Collect, record, and ensure safekeeping of all card stock.
- Issue cards to customers upon verification and capture information on the front-end system as per SOP.
- Record each card issued to beneficiaries or transferred to card issuers.
- Update statistics on the number of cards issued and customers assisted.
- Address queries related to lost cards, PIN resets, and damaged cards.
- Balance and return all unused cards at the end of each day for recording and safekeeping.
- Report system-related issues to the Team Leader and/or contact center.
- Send daily reports and statistics to the Team Leader as required.
- Assist the Team Leader in monitoring queues at the collection site, ensuring the elderly, disabled, and sick customers are assisted promptly.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
- Post Matric qualification: Diploma/Degree (NQF 5, 6, or 7), with a minimum of 120 credits.
- NQF6 Qualification, National Diploma, or degree is an added advantage.
- Experience as a Customer Services Consultant/Cashier or in any other Customer Service role is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
