REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum: Grade 10 certificate (NQF Level 2).
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code EC with PrDP).
  • Operating Certificate/Departmental Competency Pink Card for specialized equipment.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of driving and operating specialized equipment.
  • Skills: Communication, ability to read/write, teamwork, and physical inspection of vehicles.
  • Knowledge: Ability to interpret instructions, use controls for safe operation, and follow manuals.

DUTIES:

  1. Operation of Specialized Equipment:
  • Load/offload goods or equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and report defects.
  • Keep log sheets and ensure safety measures.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery.
  • Grade gravel roads and maintain shoulders.
  1. Driving Services:
  • Transport work teams and materials.
  • Detect and repair minor vehicle issues.
  • Inspect vehicles/equipment and report defects.
  • Maintain logbooks and trip authorizations.
