Brief description:
The main purpose of this position is to provide food preparation, serving, and cleaning services at the serving areas within the Durban Cash Centre.

Detailed description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Organize oneself to ensure that allocated work is completed within the set times and defined standards.
• Perform routine and well-defined tasks under direct supervision, including:
  • Ordering required ingredients.
  • Preparing food for the Lunch Club.
  • Serving food to Lunch Club members.
  • Handling the till point.
  • Setting up and preparing meeting rooms and pause areas.
  • Cleaning and other scullery duties.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Apply basic rules of courtesy when interacting with other employees and visitors, always displaying strong service orientation.
• Engage with team members effectively to reflect a sound working relationship.
• Understand the impact of personal work output on broader service delivery.
• Willingly make meaningful changes to improve work practices.

Job requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• A certificate in food preparation (an added advantage).
• One year of experience in the hospitality environment, specifically in cleaning and serving.
