The Limpopo Department of Health invites suitably qualified South African nationals to apply for its Student Nurse Training Intake for 2026. This fully accredited nursing diploma programme aims to develop competent nurses aligned with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) standards. Closing Date 30 November 2025

Admission Requirements

General Qualification

  • Senior Certificate with endorsement or National Senior Certificate – Bachelor’s Degree Pass
  • Minimum 24 points on the rating scale (excluding Life Orientation)

Subject Requirements

  • English: HG E / Level 4
  • Biology or Life Sciences: HG E / Level 4
  • Physical Sciences: HG E / Level 4
  • Mathematics: HG E / Level 4 or
  • Mathematical Literacy: Level 5

Other Criteria

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Meet any further selection criteria as determined by Limpopo Department of Health

Selection & Conditions

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to further steps (e.g. interviews).
  • Applicants who do not receive any response within six weeks of the closing date should consider their application unsuccessful.
  • The programme is bursary-based, meaning participants may be required to repay or meet certain conditions if they do not complete the training.
