Job Purpose

The main purpose of this role is to operate and maintain packaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machines (start-up, shutdown, and running processes)
• Perform brand and packaging changes
• Conduct routine maintenance (autonomous maintenance)
• Ensure machines are correctly set up and functioning
• Monitor production performance
• Support team training and development
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong teamwork skills
• Quick thinking and attention to detail
• Problem-solving ability
• Good hand-eye coordination (manual dexterity)
• Ability to work under pressure

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Ability to work shifts
• Experience operating at least two machines
• Minimum 3 years experience in a packaging or production environment
